Project inspired by a quote from Fernando Birri, Argentinian film director.
“Utopia is on the horizon. I go two steps, it moves two steps away. I walk ten steps and the horizon runs ten steps ahead. No matter how much I walk, I’ll never reach it. What good is utopia? That’s what: It’s good for walking.”
The installation requires active participation from the audience, in order to read the text, the viewer has to walk on the treadmill, thus becoming a participant/performer.
Silkscreen print on treadmill.
